A DataStats object is used to calculate and store statistical information about a particular Data object. A DataStats object is only ever asscoiated with one Data object, so if the parent Data object is deleted the DataStats object must also be manually deleted. A present the maximum, minimum and mean values for each column in the input and output tables of a Data object are calculated and stored by a DataStats object.
